Leadership Team

Founded in Dublin in 2025, WorkMate was built by a husband-and-wife team who spent years frustrated by unreliable tradespeople, cash-only payments, and no way to verify who was actually qualified. We built the marketplace we wished existed — with proper verification, payment protection, and a platform that works for Irish homeowners and honest tradespeople alike.

How we protect you

Admin-reviewed providers — every provider is manually approved by our team before appearing on WorkMate. There are no automated approvals.
Stripe-protected payments — your payment is held securely by Stripe and only released to the provider once you confirm the work is complete.
14-day dispute window — if you are not satisfied with a completed job, raise a dispute within 14 days. Our team aims to resolve cases within 5 business days.
Irish-specific compliance — we verify SafePass, RECI, RGII, Public Liability Insurance, and Tax Clearance certificates where applicable.

Legal information

WorkMate is operated by WorkMate Ltd, registered in Ireland (CRO registration pending — company registration is in progress). All payments are processed by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited — a licensed payment institution authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland.
