How WorkMate ranks providers

Ranking factors

   Verification level

   Fully verified, insured providers with approved identity documents rank higher. Verification is admin-reviewed — not automated.

   Review score

   Average rating from verified customers who completed a job on WorkMate. Minimum 5 reviews required for score to influence ranking.

3. 3
   Response time

   How quickly the provider typically responds to quote requests. Faster responders rank higher for active searches.

4. 4
   Job completion rate

   The percentage of accepted quotes that resulted in a completed, confirmed job.

   Location match

   How closely the provider's registered service areas match the customer's county.

6. 6
   Profile completeness

   Profile photo, bio, portfolio items, listed certifications, and verified service areas all contribute.

Paid plan placement

Providers on WorkMate Pro and Pro+ plans receive placement priority in search results. This means they may appear higher than their ranking factors alone would suggest. These listings are labelled Promoted.

A promoted provider must still meet our full verification standards — paid plans do not bypass any trust or safety requirement. WorkMate does not auction ranking positions.

What ranking does not affect

• Badge content — badges are earned through verification, not purchased
• Review scores — all reviews are from verified customers who completed a real job
• Dispute outcomes — our team reviews evidence independently
• Job matching eligibility — all verified providers are eligible for all jobs
