Work not completed
The provider started or accepted a job but did not complete it to the agreed scope.
WorkMate stands behind every job on the platform. If something goes wrong, we will review your case and work toward a fair outcome for both sides.
Work not completed
The provider started or accepted a job but did not complete it to the agreed scope.
Work significantly below standard
The delivered work materially differs from the agreed scope or is not fit for purpose.
No-show without notice
The provider failed to attend a confirmed appointment without reasonable notice.
Full refund
Granted where work was not started and no materials were purchased, or where a no-show is confirmed.
Partial refund
Granted where work was partially completed or where quality was below standard for a portion of the scope.
Mediated resolution
Where both parties accept a negotiated outcome (e.g. provider returns to remedy the work).
No refund
Where evidence supports that the agreed scope was delivered, or the reported problem does not meet the qualifying criteria.
Direct Payment jobs are not covered. WorkMate's Refund Policy and Happiness Pledge apply only to payments made through WorkMate Protected Payment. Where you choose Direct Payment and pay the provider directly outside WorkMate, no refund, release, "Report a problem" or pledge cover is available through WorkMate, because no payment is held by us. This does not affect any rights you have directly against the provider under Irish or EU consumer law.
